Is nexpenz really free to use?

Yes! Our Free plan gives you access to every feature with sensible limits. No credit card required.

Is my financial data private and secure?

Yes. Your financial data is stored securely and is never shared with third parties. Nexpenz is fully manual — we don't connect to your bank, so your banking credentials are never involved. Ask Nex-i does not use your data for AI model training.

What is Ask Nex-i?

Ask Nex-i is your AI-powered finance assistant built into Nexpenz. You can ask it questions in plain language — like "How much did I spend on food last month?" or "Am I over budget?" — and get instant answers based on your own financial data. Available on all plans, with chat limits depending on your tier.

What is the MCP integration?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration lets you connect Nexpenz to AI tools like Claude Desktop, Cursor, ChatGPT, or Gemini CLI. Once connected, you can query your real financial data directly inside your AI assistant. Available on Standard and Pro plans. Learn more →

What is the difference between the Standard and Pro plans?

The Standard plan gives you higher limits across all features — 300 transactions, 3 circles, 5 budgets, and more — plus MCP integration with up to 2 API keys. The Pro plan removes all limits entirely, giving you unlimited access to every feature and up to 5 MCP API keys.

How do I upgrade to the Standard or Pro plan?

You can upgrade directly within the app. Go to Settings and tap on your current plan to see all available upgrade options.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. You can cancel anytime through the App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, after which you'll revert to the Free plan.

Can I use nexpenz on multiple devices?

Absolutely. Sign in with your account on any device and your data syncs automatically.

Does nexpenz connect to my bank account?

No. Nexpenz is fully manual — you enter your transactions yourself. We don't connect to any bank, card, or financial institution, and we never have access to your banking credentials.

What happens to my data if I downgrade to the Free plan?

Your existing data is preserved. However, if you're over the Free plan limits, you won't be able to add new entries until you're within the allowed limits or upgrade again.

How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion from within the app under Settings, or visit our Delete Account page for instructions.
